“It is clear for us that heritage is not represented only by castles, antiques and other materials, rather it is represented essentially by a spiritual legacy of traditions, sciences and arts which is transferred from one generation to another. The real preservation of this legacy is achieved only by giving each element devotion and care”
His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, Sultan of Oman
24th National Day
Horses have been an inspiration to me in the recent past. So much so that it formed my family’s favourite unit study theme during the year I home-schooled my two eldest sons. I enjoy horse riding as a hobby and reflecting on the physical, educational and personal facets and qualities of the sport.
It also forms the motivation for sharing my leanings and experiences in The Horse Book Series and Integrated Learning & Family Engagement.
This initiative is a humble contribution to the preservation of the horse heritage inspired by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos’ speech, in addition to promoting horse education, horse-assisted leadership and motivating recreational reading.
